About woodmagic

Woodmagic is a small woodworking company, started in 1985 in Bideford, Devon, UK.

My initial aim was the manufacture of magicians props in wood (magic tricks) for various magic supply companies. This still is a part of the business, and in 2008 I moved to Andalucia in Southern Spain (better climate for older bones) to carry on in the same product area, and also to expand into others.

I now also make wooden based giftware such as:- Pewter oil burners, lamps, bud vases, along with gold plated items such as glass globes.

My main passion however is for Handmade Pens
Each one is hand turned on the lathe, and each one is totally unique, I use a variety of woods, and acrylic resin to make a very different finished item.
The pens are all different as I never know what I am going to do with the blank until I get it on the lathe, I then work with the colour and grain to create a totally unique product.

Everything I make is worked by hand, I have no mass production ambitions as I would rather be known for quality than quantity. All my wood is sourced from sustainable supplies using ethical and eco
friendly methods. Prices start from 15€.
